What is Nasal CPAP?
Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) remains the most effective way of treating obstructive sleep apnea. A bedside flow/pressure generator delivers a constant flow of air to your lungs through a mask that fits comfortably over your nose. The machine gently blows air into your nose at a pressure slightly higher than the surrounding air. This applied pressure acts like a splint, keeping your airway open and free of snoring and obstruction. The result is a full night’s sleep leaving you well rested and refreshed.
